Employee Ownership Ireland is pleased to announce the appointment of two new board members: Jeremy Fitch and Zara Duffy. Their leadership and experience will support our mission to grow employee ownership across Northern Ireland and the island of Ireland.
Jeremy Fitch
Jeremy joins the board following a distinguished career in economic development. A chartered accountant, he retired in 2024 after more than 30 years with Invest NI, most recently serving as Executive Director of Business Growth.
Throughout his career, Jeremy played a central role in bringing high-profile investment into Northern Ireland. This includes major projects such as Citi, HBO, and the Shorts C-series wing programme. He also helped shape the development of key sectors like fintech, legal services, and life sciences.
Jeremy’s experience aligns closely with our vision for economic resilience, local wealth building, and innovation through employee ownership.
Zara Duffy
Zara brings deep insight into the business landscape in Northern Ireland. As Head of Northern Ireland at Chartered Accountants Ireland, she is a respected voice within the profession and among policymakers.
She has a strong track record in championing good governance, sustainability, and strategic leadership. Her support for models that foster long-term thinking and inclusive growth makes her a valuable addition to our board at a pivotal time in our development.
A Growing Movement
Their appointments reflect the growing recognition of employee ownership as a powerful tool for business succession, local economic development, and employee engagement.
As we work to build an active, all-island community of practice, Jeremy and Zara’s insights will help guide our strategy and strengthen our partnerships.
